You can see some spots that are a bit duller than others like the front
apron, which may polish up
to match a bit better...hard to know for sure until you try it.

Carpet and interior were redone at about 90,000 miles and they look to
be in very nice shape.

Clean.

Original jack and tool roll are included.

Original finish under the hood looks quite clean...no signs of any
accidednt damage or repair to the hood which is great.

The headliner looks like it may be the original...and if it is,
wow...awesome.
It does look like it must have had some sun damage to the area below
the rear window that was covered up in grey material.

The seats were redone at 90k miles as well and they look fantastic.
I like to see the buttons in the right place and a good firm fit.

Rear seat was done to match...door panels look to be all original.

And clean!!

Factory sunroof car!!
Sunroof works fine and it is nice to see rails so clean andthe plastics
not damaged or dirty.

Looks like new shocks and recent brakes...

Empi 8 spoke wheels give the car a sporting look and the Wolfsburg logo
center caps are a nice touch.

Super dry and untouched in the fender wells...this looks like original
paint finish to me in here!

Engine looks clean underneath.
Owner states that it is a very good runner and driver.

I'd be tempted to clean and polish under the fender wells just to see
how nice they come out!

Under the hood all seems to be in place and the wiring is clean and
untouched.

Looks like a brake fluid spill at some point in it's life...but now dry
and good to go.

Very clean and totally unrestored under here...everything in the right
spot.

Headliner shot...looks great.

Door jams look clean and super solid.

39k on the odometer...actual mileage is 139k

A scant bit of surface rust just starting under the gutter...this is
totally to be expected with original paint finish.

Engine room has new insulation which looks bright and clean.

Engine runs well, engine and trans were rebuilt at 93k miles.
Nice to see the proper vacuum advance distributor and proper air
cleaner in place.

I love seeing the original bumper guards with the rubber rub strips and
the reflectors above the rear bumper.
Little clues like this are what I look for when trying to find a
properly original and unmolested example.

Under the hood with the original trunk liner in place...

Great condition!

Spare tire is an old school bias ply unit...probably been with the car
much of it's life. I like to see the washer bottle in place and hooked
up...so cool.

Tires are excellent.

I think some panels have been repainted such as the front fender here,
while a lot of the car is still original finish.

The sunroof is a BIG bonus on this car.

Interesting marks around the engine vents...like perhaps it had
aluminum trims here that protected the paint?
I'd pop a new set of trims on it and it would look a bit better.
Super straight and solid car...I love to see them like this.

Wow...CLEAN!
Somebody has spent some time detailing here!

Pop out rear quarter windows are a much loved accessory especially for
a sunroof car.

Dash looks great!

Door panels look to be originals and in fantastic condition.

Very clean and presentable upholstery and interior.

In closing this is a very nice find.
Many original details give it some character and the overall look is
clean and attractive.
Perhaps not a show car, but the sort of driver and weekend toy that
would be great fun to drive and maintain.
Unrestored, solid rust free examples like this with a fully known
history are getting harder to find.
And the sunroof...dont forget that sunroof... excellent.
