1965 Meyers Manx For Sale
With the passing of founder Bruce Meyers and the announcement of
an upcoming modern next generation Meyers Manx from the new owners,
it has brought incredible attention to the genuine original Meyers Manx cars
from collectors all over the world. The market is red hot and demand is strong...but you've got to
be cautious and only invest in the genuine article.
It is said that there are roughly 5000 originals, and 50,000 copies rolling around out there.
This example has the provenance and certification needed to
be a proper collector grade Meyers Manx.
#1388 on the registry, this body was the 2024th Manx 1 off the line,
produced in June of 1968 with an original finish code of 20E
Built on a 1965 VW chassis, this Manx has just emerged from a top to bottom,
nut and bolt restoration and is super clean and ready for a new owner.
It is located in West Virginia with a clear title as a 1965 VW.
The chassis and under-body have been coated with a durable bed-liner type finish.
Floors were redone in flat steel and are cleanly finished and strong.
Very solid and proper.
New Meyers Manx drop down dash has been fitted and color matched to the body color.
Empi trigger shifter with ivory ball.
Clean controls and very nicely laid out dash array.
Chrome tail and license plate lights and a Manx "sidewinder" exhaust.
Underneath the rear deck the battery area and tire well are clean.
Clean white widened steel VW wheels with smooth baby mood hubcaps and excellent radial tires
Rebuilt dual port engine with 12 volt electrics.
Runs excellent and is very clean.
Very iconic classic style to this Buggy...built the way Bruce
intended with simplicity and quality from end to end.
VW turn signals and chrome headlights. Chrome front bumper and the
Meyers Manx three dimensional emblem on the nose...reportedly an original with the (R) in the mold.
(later pressings have either no marking or a (C)...tiny details...but they matter)
I love the use of the stock VW steering wheel with the horn ring.
Simple black seats by Scat, a part of their "Pro-car" line.
Perfect choice for a buggy.
Plain and simple, super clean, and all rebuilt and restored from end to end.
Less than 100 miles on the car since completion.
Its got the look for sure, and it has the provenance behind it as well.
