1970 VW Beetle Convertible For Sale

SOLD!

This Southern California based Beetle Convertible is on it's second trip through the website here.
It was last listed about 2 years ago by a VW mechanic in the LA area that had put a lot of time and effort into
making it a very good runner and driver. It was sold to a local fellow that has put a few miles on it
and had his fun, but he is now ready to turn it over to the next owner.

The paint has faded a hair since the last time I saw it and the bumpers have a bit of  surface rust
from being near the coast. Nothing that a few dollars and a little elbow grease wont
bring back to life. It still looks like a good car and the owner states it runs and drives great.

The car is very stock and original overall.
Never lowered or customized.

Window chrome still looks good.

Coco mats in black and red look great in the car.

A modern radio with a plug for your iPod.
I see a new little speaker under the dash as well that was not there before.

Kenwood...CD player as well.

The drivers side mat shows some heel wear...

Odometer rads 91,193 miles at the time of these photos.
When we had it on the site before it had about 78,000 miles...so it has had a fair bit of use!!

The Empi GTV wood rim steering wheel is awesome.

Top boot.

Great fun summer play toy!

Body is really quite straight on this car...there is a bit of a dent in the hood up front and a few new scratches since
it last came through, but really no major changes.

Under the front hood is pretty basic.

Headliner is sagging a bit more than it used to and a couple small tears.

Glass is good.

Rear bumper has some surface rust happening.

The engine still looks good and the owner states it runs good too.
It was a nice driver then and I am sure it still is.

Current registraion and clear California title.

Rear window seems to be just a hair saggy.
Top is holding up well though.

Good rubber

A good polishing and detailing and the car will really look much nicer.

Here you can see the small dents on the hood...one right by the handle and the other down lower on the driver's side.

Still grabs the eye though...nothing quite like a red Beetle convertible!

In closing this is a great driver and budget play toy just as it is or a great basis to start with
for a very nice restoration. Good year, good color, solid chassis and straight body and very complete.
