1966 VW Camper For Sale
NEW PHOTOS!!
The owner has done some additional work to the vehicle, a new steering
wheel, new sunvisors
got all the handles and such in place...this is really a great Bus!!

Great looking Bus...and that Dove Blue is such a beautiful color!
...

One of the hottest and most desireable models of Vintage VWs these days
are the "split screen" Busses.
The look and style is totally unique on the roadway, the utility of the
things is unmatched
and they in general have more "good vibes" than anything with four
wheels.
They immediately bring about images of the 60's and the "Love"
generation
or images of surfing along the California coast.

A drive in an old Bus is an escape from the modern fast paced world.
They are old, they are slow, there are no airbags or creature
comforts..you just hop in
and drive and let the world go by.

OK...Ive waxed poetic enough on this one...lets look at the stuff you
want to see...dig in deep right off the bat!
The floors! The beautiful solid floors!
This is one of the most common spots for rust to occur...this one is
solid!

Passenger side as well.

Quick peek inside... what is this?
That doesnt look like a vintage camper interior to me!

Ok...important stuff again...engine, yes, it has an engine, very
important!
Its a very good runner by the way, a 1600cc single port, converted to
12 volts.
Engine compartment is clean, but not spotless.

Ive had a chance to drive this one personally and it runs very good!
Clutch and brakes all seem fine, steering is average old VW Bus
stuff....it was an enjoyable bit of travel!

Engine has a rebuilders tag... mileage on the engine is unknown, but it
seems strong.

Bumper looks clean and fresh...the blue paint is a great color.

Now back to that interior...

This interior is a brand new camper set that we are selling here at
Oldbug.com
(email for details)
This is imported from the UK and it is really slick.
The fold out bed of course is obvious...but wait until you see the rest.

Camper windows are original to the Bus...new wood on the cargo doors.

Here we are into the cool stuff...check out the bed and the cabinetry!

Plenty of room for napping!

Rear wardrobe closet has a hanging rod inside and is accessable from
the back and the side.

Modern appliances by European manufacturer SMEV.
Stainless with flip down black glass lids.
Propane power for the stove (must be hooked up) and an electric pump
for the sink (which also needs to be hooked up)

Original headliner panelling, overhead storage locker is perfect for
blankets.

Rear bed flips back to a seat.
Small table next to the seat swivels out and adjusts for use...nice
storage spots below.

Cabinets are all wood, not pressboard, and the hardware is clean and
modern and stylish.
12 volt Coleman ice box slips into the cabinet.

Small jump seat is removeable and has storage below.
What a great looking interior!!

Im a big fan of this stuff, it is well built and good looking and is a
refeshing change from
seeing the old original stuff patched up for use.

Body tag

Looking nice.

Original EZ Camper headliner in pretty nice shape for being 44 years
old!
And it blends in pretty decent with the new cabinets too.

Front seat has been done in butter yellow vinyl...very nice and fun.
Original paint on the dashboard by the way.

Door panels are new ABS plastic units...very durable and the weather
wont warp em!

Dash is clean and un-cut.
No radio.
(NOTE...check out the photos at the top of the page...a radio block off
plate and a new steering wheel are now in place)

Original jack and tool roll

Seat upholstery is very nice.
Original seat belts up front.

ABS panels are pretty cool...no worpage if they get wet and very easy
to clean.

Outside the Bus has a nice clean and fresh appearance to it.

The color is great, the clean white wheels and bumpers look fantastic.
The emblem has an interesting rustic finish that makes it a bit unique

Might be fun to put a roof rack on it to dress it up a bit...or just
leave it as it is.

Clean and clear title by the way, the vehicle is dealer owned and
proper paperwork is present.

Pretty straight body on this old Bus.
Its not a flawless high dollar show car, but if it was you would be
afraid to drive it anyway.
This is a very presentable Bus just as it is.
You could improve it a little by attending to some small details as you
desired,
and maybe adding some accessories to suit your taste...but as you can
see
it is a very good looking vehicle to start with.

Good reflection shot...

Just a nice clean old Bus

This Bus was sold new in California and was originally an EZ Camper
conversion.

Here are the Camper tags

Steering wheel has now been replaced with a brand new one...and the
radio clock off plate is installed.
(see above photos)

Many new parts on this Bus including the seat stand mats and much of
the rubber.

In closing this is obviously a nice old Bus.
With the great color and the fresh look to the exterior it is something
that will feel right at home at any event.
With the modern camper interior inside, it will make it an even bigger
attraction.
Its a good runner and driver too and it is quite solid underneath.
