1955 VW Beetle Sedan For Sale

This slick green machine is the "Pimento Momento",
a passion driven build of a 1955 Oval Window that
was even a cover car of Hot VWs Magazine in November 2014

The car has been in the family since the 90's when it was bought from the
original owner. The birth certificate from VW comes with the car
as well as many receipts and details throughout its life and transformations.

In 1996 the current owners restored it and then it was fully restored to top level as you see it
in 2013-2014. When it was freshly completed the magazine article came out
and the car hit the cover of the magazine.

Top level hands and suppliers were involved with the build
and the results are most definitely evident when seeing the car.
The engine is an 1835cc with dual 40 Weber carbs built by
originally by Geoff Hart and then refreshed and detailed by Competition Engineering.
The chassis work was done by Airkewld.

The parts details are many such as the Hella logo headlight glass
and amber parking light bulbs.

Awesome yellow Bosch fog lights

Interior is loaded with cool rare items as well

Clear needle speedometer

Proper early Oval seats upholstered in the correct stitch patterns.

Seat belts in all positions

Very clean and well kept car, still looks very fresh and runs strong.

Euro style pumpers with short guards.
Correct 55 only US spec "egg" taillights with the domed lenses.

Chrome looks amazing, I did the red cross light on the rear bumper.

What a looker!

Nice stance to it and with the BRM wheels it is nostalgia all the way

Matching spare wheel and tire in the trunk

Details pop out from all over the place when you are looking close.
Super clean wiring, red base on the restored jack
color matched large logo tank cap.

Love this hand painted detail...beautiful

Very well done even down to the matching red zip ties on the harness.
The theme is very well done through the whole car.

Body tag and numbers all jive with the birth certificate from VW in Germany

Perious Hurst trigger shifter with detail painted logo and hand brake button.

Three spoke steering wheel and racing belts...I love the juxtaposition of
"go fast" and "period details"

Accessory cruiser gas pedal.
Red tip turn signal switch and a Monster tach!

Gorgeous period correct Motorola Big M radio in the dash

Super clean!

And that color combo is so fun!

Gold leaf hand lettered "Pimento Momento" logo above the windshield
with Olive branches on each side. Super fun and memorable.

Headliner looks super clean and well done.

Interior, exterior, even underneath the car is a show stopper.

And lets not forget that it is all based on a desirable "Early Oval"
with the ribbed doors and semaphore turn signals

Very nice fit and finish, good gaps and panel fit.
This car was very well done.

One piece door glass gives a nice clean look.

Great gloss and reflection to everything.

In this shaded shot you can see the crystal clear reflections down the side.
This is really nicely done.

The car shows well and always draws admirers and its share of awards at the shows.

Even a little green neon underneath for evening cruising.

Chassis was fully done at the time of the restoration
with new pan halves from Wolfsburg West
4" narrowed beam, Airkewld "BAD" disc brake set up
and more. All fresh hardware with any exposed threads "capped" for that full show look.

Here is the cover shot!

Full color feature within!

The only change since the article was a swap to an MSD electronic ignition system.

Its had the works done to it and it has been super well kept and cared for every since.
Minimal miles and a ton of love and attention.

Its been long cherished and enjoyed by its owners
but it is time to pass it along to new hands that will continue the love affair.
