1962 Single Cab Transporter For Sale
This is one of the nicest custom Single Cabs I have ever seen.
Built by a local VW nut over a period of years, it is a trule labor of love.
This guy doesnt mess around when he builds a car...about 5 or 6 years ago we sold a Beetle convertible
that he built that was just stunning in all respects...and this Single Cab is right up there on the same level.
Subtle colors, perfect stance, exacting details...cool and classy and I love it.
And Im not the only one that feels this way about it...Hot VWs magazine featured it in a recent issue.

Excellent body paint and finish.
Clean and dry underneath.
Ceramic coated exhaust with stainless muffler by A-1.
(nice reflection of yours truly in the bumper... LOL!)
Fully detailed Porsche alloys.
Underside is clean...not show car detailed with chrome and stuff, but very tidy just the same.
Solid.
Rockers are excellent.
Beautiful Bus.
Safari windows front and back with chrome frames.
Bed is texture coated for durability.
Latches and everything are very very clean.
Chrome is excellent.
Euro headlights, chrome bumpers, chrome emblem too.
Super smooth and straight.

Black California plates.
Gates are in incredible condition...smooth and sweet on both sides.
Bed floor is texture coated and it looks very clean and is a great durable finish.
Interior is excellent and the color contrast is superb.
Nice brown rugs and butterscotch seats and panels.

Seats and panels are mild custom in design and they look great.
When inside you feel like you are driving something much classier than a "truck".
Retractable seatbelts.
Rear cab wall is upholstered as well...nice touch, I like the look.
Stainless hardware on the doors and in several spots around the body.'
Headliner is sweet...I like the chrome trim.
Radio block off plate keeps the dash looking smooth.
Note the color matched material behind the grille.
Block off plate is hinged and flips open to reveal oil temp and pressure gauges...awesome!

Headlights are gorgeous...check out those genuine Bosch lenses.
Engine is a 2180cc powerplant with 044 heads, 120 camshaft and 44mm Weber carbs.
Very healthy and detailed to an amazing level...the black paint on the shrouds is like a mirror!
Optima gel cell battery in a custom holder.
Wow!!
In closing this really is a top level restoration inside and out.
Extremely well built, all the best materials, and built to drive, not as a trailer queen.
Multiple award winner at many California shows and the magazine feature adds the cherry to the top.
