1971 VW Type 3 Fastback For Sale

Here is a very clean and very solid example of a 1971 Fastback that is
located in New York State.
It is a car that sold new in the south and has been extremely well kept
duting it's life.
The owner states that the body and chassis are extremely solid and rust
free and that the car is
almost all original with the exception of one respray in the original
color.

The owner does have the original wheels for the car, but I sure love
these 2-litre alloys,
they give it a very sporting look.

The body is very straight and smooth and the chrome and trim is bright
and clean.

Nice

The interior is all original and is holding up very well.
Only the front carpet has been replaced...the rest looks all original
to me.
Check out those awesome Wolfsburg crest accessory floor mats!

There are a couple flaws inside as you can see, but overall it is very
clean and well preserved.

One small poke in the headliner.

Front carpet has been replaced with a black loop.
The floormats are super cool.

Aftermarket shifter and a funky knob.

Seats are holding up very nicely!!

Original tool roll is included

The engine has been converted to dual carbs instead of the factory fuel
injection.
The engine has been detailed and color matched to the exterior.

Color is way off on a couple of these shots...the car is red...not
orange!

Super clean trunk area.

Solid and straight.

Date coded wheel for the spare

Original paint code tag

Fantastic pile of original paperwork for this car.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this sort of thing!

So Cool!

The car is not perfect of course, but it is very clean.
The owner did point out a couple of small paint flaws here and there.

It sits nice and looks sweet.

Rear window rubber is the Cal Look style with no trim.

Interior looks great!

Looks like the little VW logo emblem is missing off the tip of the hood.

A couple of speakers sitting on the rear deck for the audio...easily
removed if desired.

In closing this is a very interesting car.
Well preserved and very clean. It runs and drives well and with all the
historical paperwork with it,
it really stands out to me to be a special car indeed.
