1963 VW Beetle Sedan For Sale

Here is another really wonderful original car...the dreamy "virgin"
that we all dream of finding.
This one is owned by the same New Jersey collector as the amazing
original 52 Beetle we just posted.
This fellow has a knack for finding these cars and with his knowledge
of originality and quality I am sure
this car is as stunning up close as it appears in the photos.

Great year, wonderful color combination, totally untouched and stock
through and through.

The car originally came out of Colorado and there is a fantastic
pile of paperwork and
such that comes with the car...check out this ice scraper fron the
original selling dealer!

The tool roll is in great shape!

Some previous ownership paperwork

The actual original sales invoice!!!

Even the window sticker!!

Even the original "New Car Order" sheet is here!

I love it when a car has the original paperwork...like reading a good
book.
It gives the car a pedigree that is so often lost during the life of a
car.

The owners manual is truly in mint condition!

Serrvice booklets too.

The original manual folder pouch is here too...too cool!

An old car can be restored again and again but it is only original once
and there has been a strong trend in the past few years that recognize
this.
At shows and in the collector scene, well preserved originals often
draw stronger crowds and higher prices that similar restored examples.

A true "Survivor" car is something very cool to own.

One of the major strong point of this car is how solid the body and
chassis are
and also the car was never undercoated when new, so the original metal
finish is clear to see to prove
how solid the car is underneath.

Save for a scant dusting of surface rust on the bottom of the fenders
where the finish has worn thin from the elements<
the metal is all super solid under here.

Floorpans and heater channels are totally solid.

Jack points are strong and straight.

The original color matched running board covers have haded to grey on
the outside but under the shadow of the door retain their color.

Door japs are super clean original finish.
The interior is all original except for the carpet just inside the
doors here
as you can see in this shot...replaced with the correct German square
weave material.

Bumpers are originals as are the headlights and lenses.
Never hit, no repairs...all straight and smooth the way it should be.

So clean.

Nice!

Pretty impressive.

Very nice factory fit and finish...nobody build them like the factory
did!

Underside of the engine is pretty clean and dry.

Chrome mirror was installed when new or very close to it.

Hood latch is still clean and bright...all the nuts and bolts are the
proper original Kamax hardware.
It is this sort of detail that makes an all original car stand out from
the rest.

Paint under the front hood is excellent,

The original jack is in great shape as well.

Inside the fuel tank is so so clean!

Proper original cap in place

The original finish in the spare tire well here is impressive...very
very clean and obviously never any damage or bodywork done.

Superb

Wow!!
Check out the pressure label on the washer bottle and the original
paint code tag...wonderful!

Original trunk liner and wiring cover!

Original paint on this car!!!

All original glass in the car with the right logos.

All lenses are originals to the car as well.

Here to the right of the headlight you can see some of the touch up
paint that was done long ago.
There is a similar spot on the drivers side rear fender as well.

Wheels retain the original two tone finish as well and the hubcaps with
the painted logos too.

Great clean dash with the original labels still in place!!

The edge carpet has been replaced as mentioned before, but with top
quality materials

Original seat belts!

The mats look fantastic!

Headliner has minor age discoloration but it is amazing condition!!

The seat upholstery is all original as well and in great shape.
There has been some minor professional restitching done on a couple of
seams
but that is it.

Carpet on the forward panel is original

Seats and panels look great as does the original wheel.

Very clean!

The engine room is wonderfully detailed and clean.

Correct original distributor and German fuel pump

This looks AWESOME!
Great runner by the way.
There is 78,000 original miles on this car and it was obviously well
cared for.
The brake lines and wheel cylinders have been recently replaced, the
fluids changed and everything checked out.
It is a delightful driver with all systems functioning as they should.

Look how perfect it all fits...great gaps, the original paint shines
well.

Nice period service sticker in the door jam

Headliner is amazing!

A couple of prick holes under the rear window...otherwise excellent.

So clean

Steering wheel and horn ring are in great shape

Here is another chassis shot...super solid!

Perhaps the most notable body flaw is a couple areas of touch up on the
driver's side fenders.

Tires are good and the original finish on the wheels is impressive.

Even the window rubebrs and seals seem to have some life left in
them...this was not a car exposed to the elements
for any length of time...must have spent most of it's life in the
garage!

Nice to see such nice panels in the car too...even the door pocket
remains tight.

Miles are original!!

omebody out there needs to reproduce these labels and do them properly!

Nice!

In closing this is a wonderful car.
Fully known and documented history
reasonably low mileage and obviously very very well cared for.
Owning and driving a car like this is a great experience indeed.
