1974 VW Super Beetle Sedan For Sale
The car was pulled apart to a rolling shell and then brought to the paint
shop for a fresh layer of the
ultimate 70's VW color...bright orange. The bodywork and paint is very
nice on th car and it has a very good
factory fresh look to it.
All new window rubber, body trim and interior were installed and mechanically
it was gone through to insure that
it is a reliable driver for it's new owner.
Great looking car. Thes Super Beetles are starting to be watched by collectors
as the earlier models are becoming
harder to find, and getting a nice clean solid one is the quest of many.
This one is a good one underneath
as well as being super clean cosmetically.
Original German bumpers look good and have new bump strips and end caps.
Big curved Super Beetle windshield is new and the rubber and trim are new
as well.
New fender beading and turn signal seals.
very nice chrome wheels with brand new tires on all four corners.
Super smooth down ths sides.
New running boards and trim installed.
new window weatherstripping, scrapers and felts.
Body trim is new as well.
original German bumper out back as well with new rubber trim and caps.
new taillight lenses.
1600cc dual port engine has been fully serviced and runs excellent.
Transmission has been serviced and tested and is in excellent shape.
Brakes have been redone completely and the car is a true turn-key driver...ready
for adventure.
The wide steel wheels in chrome look great and give the car a bit of a
sporty look to it compared to the thin
stock painted wheels.
very smooth down the sides with a good fit to all body panels.
Front grille area below is nice and straight and smooth...a common spot
for damage.
Bright chrome on the headlight rings, lights all function as they should.

Front apron is nice and straight and shows no signs of front end damage
or repair.
new trunk lid seal.
Under hood is painted nicely as well. Car was originally red, but was repainted
sometime in it's past as well
but the fresh orage color is proper for the year and is very well done
and coverage is excellent in all the visable spots.
hood looks super smooth and straight underneath...no signs of bodywork.
Floorpans and heater channels all look dreamy and are original German sheet
metal.
The car has not had any welding repairs underneath and looks to have never
needed any.
Even on the battery side of things it looks super solid and proper.
Dreamy stuff even by California standards.
Engine has a slight layer of road grime underneath but does not look to
be a leaker and it runs great!
Interior is all new and looks fantastic.

original production sticker still in the door jam.
Rolled off the assembly line in January 1974.
New seat covers, new padding in the front, new carpet, new headliner, new
door panels, new dash pad,
new seat end trims...everything looks great.
original steering wheel is in great shape.
odometer reads 38,000 miles.
Actual mileage is unknown on the whole car...but guessing it could be 138K.
New dash cap on the pad looks great.
Headliner is excellent and is all new.
Domelight works!
Very clean and well fit.
Nice quality carpet kit in the luggage area.
Seats look great...well fit and not wrinkly or anything.
Seat belts in all seating spots.
Good carpet kit throughout the car.
New door seals and everything.
The owner took his time with it and did a nice job of getting it in the
proper shape.
In closing this is indeed a nice car.
Not a body off, white glove Concours restoration, but many steps above
the vast majority of the Super Beetles out there
on the market today. Done by a known and respected long time VW Porsche
mechanic...it is a car that should provide
some good solid service for it's new owner, and is a car that cosmetically
give you something to be proud of.
