1955 Ragtop Beetle Show Car

This sweet custom VW was built several years back by the owner of Classic V-Dubs
(aka Bugshack) in Las Vegas as a calling card for his business.
It was magazine featured and wond countless awards at the shows and still today remains a gorgeous bit of work.

It is loaded with great accessories and custom touches.

Boyd Coddington wheels, disc brakes, excellent tires.

Gravel guards, billet aluminum running boards, mudflaps, fully detailed suspension.

A peek in at the steering box which is chrome plated.

Loys of chrome details such as the brake fluid resevoir.

Front axle beam is chrome plated as well.

Disc brakes up front with chrome calipers.

A seriously pretty "looker"

The interior is done with a German flag motif and grey tweed.
Dashboard is painted in two tone.

Bat Wing steering wheel, under dash audio mounting.

The car is certainly not subtle...it is bright and eye catching far beyond many of the  VWs on the scene today.

One of the major "cool factor" parts is ther single wheel Allstate trailer that is painted to match.

Engine is a good running fully chromed out 1915cc unit with dual carbs and all the trimmings.

It has been driven a bit so it is not as sparkly clean as it was when first done, but it would not take
much to clean it up for show season.

Back to the interior...again the two tone on the dash is very unique and cool.

Seats are done very niceley and the German flag colors really accent the inside well.

Detail of the steeing wheel...you can see the rare center mounted tachometer too.

Nicely trimmed in all locations.

Fuel tank color matched...custom amplifier install behind the tank.

Quite clean looking...I like the fluted headlight lenses and eyelids as well.

The trailer is very slick with the suspension all chrome plated and Beetle semaphores grafted into the body!!

Factory semaphores on the car of course....pop out windows too.

Talk about making a statement...this is a wild vision to see rolling down the highway!

Too cool.

Volkswagen script emblem on the trailer is a nice touch.

Trailer is upholstered inside to match...a couple of stains in here...I think at one time there were matching minibikes
lashed in here...too cool!

Short Euro bumper guards and driving lights add more style.

Nice...this was really a mega dollar build.

The chassis was fully detailed with chrome suspension and a big German flag painted on the floor pan.
More photos of this are coming shortly...but the whole underbelly looks like this does up here...detailed to the max!

Headliner is done in matching grey tweed...nice touch with the rear window blinds too.

Semaphores are functional

Note the German flag colors on the firewall.;

Car has been properly stored indoors and has been driven minimally since the completion of the restoration.
Its a bit of a trailer queen perhaps, but it is fully functional and has been driven (as it should be).

In closing this is really a special car for a special person.
It is clean, it is fun, and it is priced at a level that is truly a bargain compared to the build price.
There is NO WAY you could duplicate it for the asking price.
The owner is motivated, hence the realistic asking price.
This should sell fast in my opinion!
