1952 VW Beetle Sedan For Sale

Perhaps one of the most desirable vintage VWs you could imagine would be a split window
with the three fold sunroof and crotch coolers. This example is a pretty dreamy example of just that.

Fully restored to absolute show level with a classic Cal Look twist of a high performance engine,
custom wheels and a mild "altitude" adjustment.

The restoration was done in California by some of the best hands in the business and the car resides now in
the state of Texas where it remains in excellent condition inside and out, fully sorted, turn-key and ready to play.

Pre-restoration the car came to California from Sweden. Sweden is a pretty prime spot for vehicle preservation
as it remains much dryer than southern European countries and they do not salt the roads like other parts of the world.
I have seen many impressively solid original cars come out of Sweden.

The body of this car was very solid and quite straight.
The original three fold Golde sunroof was added to this car apparently
so it was not originally equipped with one from the factory in Germany.
and one would never know if not told or if they inspected the data tag for the elusive stamped "G".

Stripped to bare metal and finish work done right.

These pics of it fresh from paint in late December 2007 show the work.

Beautifully done inside and out and painted in the original VW Bordeaux Red.

Gorgeous

The assembly of  the car took some time as is evident by this photo of the engine prior to installation
in June of 2009.

When finally completed the car was shown several times on the West Coast and it always drew a crowd.

In 2014 in Las Vegas it took all the top awards.
Best of Show, Best Paint and Top 10!

Since its show days and its relocation to Texas it has been very well kept and maintained and
remains in truly excellent condition inside and out.

Paint is fantastic, the three fold sunroof works smoothly.

Interior looks amazing

The engine runs strong and smooth.
Built by Chico's Performance, displacement is 2332cc with 48 idf Weber carbs
Jaycee linkage, Engle 120 cam. 9 to 1 compression and dyno numbers around 160hp.

MSD ignition, external oil cooler and fan with braided stainless lines.
Transmission is by Jeff Fields with a 4:12 ring and pinion, Super Diff, HD Side Plates and a Bus nose cone
in a Rhino case and Berg trans mounts. Four wheel disc brakes by Airkewld.

The stellar paintwork remains superb thanks to proper care, minimal miles
and a professionally applied  SunTek clear paint protection film on the hood, windshield frame and
the most vulnerable surfaces of the fenders.

Super close inspection does show the stop line of the PPF such as here above the window posts.
This is a removable film of course, but it is an awesome choice for someone that
wants to drive and enjoy the car without fear of stone chips.

Glass is all original in the car except for the windshield.
Window rubbers are the correct 52 deluxe style with the chrome trim.

Another shot of the stop line of the PPF on the front fenders.

Stellar look overall. This is one very nice ride!!

Slipping underneath we can see some of the hardware and detail on just how well the car is done.

Only about 500 miles on the car since the restoration was completed .

Adjustable 2" narrowed front beam.

Rock solid clean and straight underneath.

Every nut and bolt restored on this car and all done to top level.

All the correct trim and details are present on the car which is a major plus.

Correct hood handle and grooved bumpers.
Proper original body trim and hood crest.

Fuel pump and filter hidden below the fuel tank.

Deep oil sump and Berg trans mount visible in this shot.

Wide 5 pattern disc brake set up by Airkewld is a great fit.

Factory "crotch coolers"

Still looks fresh

The interior was done by Dave Lumetta using the correct fabrics and trims sourced from
Ingrid Opperman at Himmelservice in Hamburg Germany.

Super clean and correct.

Correct seats and stitch patterns.

Well done gauge installation in the drivers side glove box.

Semaphores are functional!

Convertible decklid provides additional cooling for the performance engine.
The factory sedan lid was also fully restored and painted so it can easily be swapped back if you prefer the smooth look.

Well detailed under the front hood as well.

Data tag shows the car as an 11-C model and all numbers match for body and chassis.

Correct sheet metal is apparent in this pic with the rear fenders having the proper
raised ridges between the bolt holes.
Stainless hardware underneath is a nice clean custom touch as well.

Matching spare wheel and tire.
Tires are BF Goodrich  195/50 up front and 205/60 out back.

Very clean and all done with top quality parts.

Custom billet aluminum BRM center caps are amazing!

That interior is soooo sweet.

Here is the matching sedan deck lid that comes with the car.

Its a stellar machine inside and out. Well done and well kept.
Definitely a dream ride for so many!
