1978 VW Beetle Convertible

This red convertible is located in Pennsylvania.
It was purchased from our website about 10 years ago out of California
to a local fellow that a couple years later headed east. He brought the car with him
and he has kept it stored indoors and only driven on nice days. He estimates less than 100 miles per year.

Tucked away and kept safe from the nasty weather and road salt.

It is a fin "driver quality" car...it has it's flaws but shows well just the same.

I love the sport wheels with the added trim rings...really a nice look.

Hard not to fall in love with a red convertible!

Owners manuals in the glove box

Sold new in Louisiana!

The seats show a little wear.

Engine room is a wee bit scruffy but it runs and drives very well.

Speakers tucked in behind the back seat

Nice

Bumpers have the proper rubber trims.

Very solid car underneath!

Antenna is broken off

Some paint chipping on the inside of the drivers door

Looks like a windo crank has come loose

Carpet was replaced just a few years back.

Headliner is coming a little loose in the corners

Dome light works

Needs new visor clips

It has the original clock.
The warning lights next to it have lost their lenses

Here is a small split in the seat upholstery

Here is a paint chip on the top of the door

The top is starting to show it's age and will need replacement at some point down the line...here is a small hole

And a bit bigger one in the center of the top.

A pull spot at the back corner as well

Pennsylvania Antique plates

Dash looks nice

Nice modern radio

Another spot of seat damage at the seat release hole on the side.

Door panels were recently replaced.

Karmann body badge

Trunk is nicely carpeted.

Good looking car overall.

This is a great buy for someone that wants a decent car to drive just as it is, and then fix up just a little over time.
Do the seats and the top and a little paint touch up and it would be pretty sweet...just as it is it is a fun car
and it sure is priced reasonably...a lot of summer fun with this one!
