1967 VW Beetle Convertible For Sale

This California based 67 is a really stunning mild custom with
all the right details to make it a super attractive car for any level of enthusiast.

Mild changes such as wheels, brakes, engine and interior
but all factory trim remains in place.

Lowered just a pinch but not "slammed" like so many out there.
This is a car built with some restraint and a focus on quality.

Euro style bumpers and taillight lenses

Gorgeous deep red with a majorly glossy finish.

Fantastic photos by the way...the seller sent me so many and they are all so damn nice
it was hard to choose which ones to post and which to toss...so I posted darn near all of them.

Great car obviously but lets get into the details

Finished nicely even in the deep corners you rarely see.
Nice upgrades such as struts for the hood instead of the factory springs.

Matching spare wheel and tire, fully detailed and pretty

Nice finish on the latches and hardware

Factory body tag is present and the chassis number and body number match.

Clean under the hood as well

Top fits great and the black canvas really works well with the body color

Custom, but timeless.
This car will always be cool done like this.
Its not a custom that has been done to chase a modern trend that will seem out of date
as the years pass. The "Cal Look" traditional vibe is a solid choice.

You can see the disc brakes peeking through the Porsche alloys in this shot.

Proper 67 reverse lights in place
I like the accessory rubber bumper trims on the guards as well.

So clean

Look at that straight reflection down the side of the body...so good.

Man I love this shot!

Nice window rubber and bright trim

Glass is all in nice shape

Very nice fit to the front hood

Performance exhaust tucked up neatly...sounds beefy and hints to something
much stringer under the engine lid than the factory 1500cc

Nicely detailed wheels and good rubber

A couple subtle custom touches such as the Volkswagen script down low on the running board trim.

Flat lens headlights with HID lighting units .

Top frame was fully restored and looks quite clean

All new padding and rubber seals as well

Reverse lights work as well!

Interior is clean and well done.

A little minor edge wear on the piping on the drivers seat, otherwise looks fantastic.

Low back seats

Matching rear

Headliner in pin point vinyl and in excellent shape

Nice coco mats on the floors

Again...all done in a timeless classic style and colors.

Full array of gauges in color matched inserts.

Trip odometer speedo is super cool.
Just shy of 13000 miles showing, perhaps telling as to how many miles since completion of the build.

Tach, temp and oil pressure.
The other side with fuel and voltage gauges

Hurst trigger shifter

Love the red and black coco mats

And under the mats is clean plush carpet

Speakers mounted in the side panel

Grant steering wheel with Porsche crest.

Alpine head unit

Locking glove box handle
US flag is a magnet

Clean door jams with detailed latches

Original Hurst shifter is a rare find.
There are more modern versions sold by Empi, but they are not the same.

Out back the engine room shines beautifully!

1,914cc utilizing an (AH) AS41 dual-relief magnesium engine case machined for 94mm pistons and cylinders.
The engine has been fitted with an Engle W-110 camshaft, dual Weber 44 IDF carburetors, and MSD ignition in addition to the following:

Color matched engine tins.

Weber carbs with hex bar linkage

12 volt alternator with chrome pulley

MSD distributor

Aluminum crank pulley

So clean!

Nice!

Top condition and fit look excellent

Bright chrome and great fit and finish

Nose of the car is protected by an impact resistant vinyl film

Window frames are super clean and well fit.

Clean California title

Ballasts for the HID headlights

Underside shots are equally impressive.
Ceramic coated heater boxes and exhaust.
Rear suspension and trans have been converted to IRS
over the factory swing axle. Nice improvement in handling.

Deep oil sump and nice cast aluminum valve covers

IRS conversion is very cleanly done and the transmission is a well built unit
designed to handle the extra horsepower and provide proper gearing for today's modern world

Fender wells are all super clean as well

Floor pans themselves have been treated with a heavy duty sound deadening
undercoat. Super solid car underneath.

Adjustable front beam with the disc brakes up front.

Heater channels and support rails look very solid.

Stainless braided lines and anodized fittings for the fuel line.

Very clean in the fender wells

Nice build for sure!

Real Porsche wheels...not reproductions,

Back up top its dreamland again...this car is nice.

She's a looker for sure and she is going to make a new owner very proud to hold the keys.
