1959 VW Westfalia Sub Hatch Camper and Trailer For Sale

OK...this one is really special.
You will never find a camper set up just like this anywhere in the world.
Totally unique and just oozing cool out of every corner.

It is an amazing rig and it is being sold with all of the accessories and trinkets that are on it and in it.
From the Dewey Weber longboard to the cups and plates inside...this is a rolling parade and ultimate
party and adventure Bus...turn key and ready to go!

It is an amazing patina Bus, with fantastic original paint that has been buffed and clear coated to a high shine.
Mother Nature's best and some of man's best preservation of it.

Very rare color combination as well, in Dove Blue and with the white top.
It was apparantly originally delivered this way!
It has the "sub hatch" pop top and a fully loaded roof rack.

The interior in this Bus is simply the most amazing camper space I have ever seen.
All the original Westfalia cabinets, but refinished and decorated with fantastic details and
period props. It is amazing.

All these goodies come with it, from the period camp stove to the vintage kitchen goods.

The color and finish on the wood is just gorgeous.

The wood trim and details continue on through the whole inside

And the polished trimming is truly out of this world!
Very cool art deco vibe to it, reminds me of an old Chris Craft wood boat or something off the Queen Mary.
This is high art stuff!!

Again...all the vintage camping goodies come with it, and the details and trinkest seem to go on forever.

You will never find another one like this!

And along with the camper comes this amazing vintage trailer that has it's own custom
canvas canopy and cot.

Artfully painted and distressed to match the camper, and trimmed with wood and more camping goodies.
This started out as a 1964 U-Haul utility trailer!

The amazing goodies continue...check out this vintage retractable clothesline set up!!
And the vintage ice chest and picnic basket up top!

The interior fully trimmed with maps, camera, plates and utensils...like the ultimate movie set...just step on in!

Beautiful!

The trailer is just so awesome!
Check out the VW hubcaps on the wheels!

The Westfalia lettering on the back...the surfboard rack, vintage STOP light at the top.
The cot inside...and plenty of storage space as well.

Epic is the word that best describes this Bus to me!

Gorgeous!

Surfboard included!

What a rig eh?

Original Westfalia Camping Box decal

Seats redone in an amazing vintage pattern cloth

Detailed and finished all the way through

Original water tank under the seat

Custom curtains and side lamps
Privacy curtain as well up front

Cool Nobility radio and some fun plates and glasses.

Wood slat roof rack is beautifully finished as well.
Here you can see the high gloss to the finish on the body.
Worn... but protected, so it will stay like this.

Great touch of having the Historical vehicle plates done in black and yellow!!
Trailer tows well!

Lights are all functional

Body is very solid on this Bus and there are only a couple spots where
repair was needed. Thos spots were handled properly and carefully blended in to match the surrounding patina.

Suspension has been lowered just a pinch with a straight axle trans conversion in the back and dropped spindles up front.

Correct slotted Bus 15" wheels

So cool!

The Bus itself is a great survivor, very straight, very solid.

The biggest body repair done on this Bus was the repair of the rear wheel arches
that were at one point trimmed out for fat tires.
These have been repaired properly and welded in and the blend is nearly undetectable.

There was some repair as well to the lower back corners, but again, done properly and nearly undetectable in the blend.

Safari back window
Glass is tinted

All the glass has a very light colored tint that really sets it off.
You can see it in this image well...amplified because of the angle of the shot.

Safari windows of course
Center mount antenna
Harp style mirror arms

Long spoon latches on all the pop outs.

Edges of the roof in the gutters are clean and rust free...these were a bit pitted, but no performation
and have been totally cleaned and treated prior to the clear coat application.

Love that sub hatch!

Wood finish inside is superb and the polish on the hardware is jewelry level.

Beautiful in the details.

The dashboard has been repainted, but the rest of the interior is all original paint.

Early style radio in the dash but a modern one fitted below the parcel tray.

Compass and uni-vents

Proper clear needle speedo

Steering wheel in nice shape

Original paint back here
Original M code tag in place that shows the blue and the original color.

Door panels are new and are super clean.
Check out the perforations at the top corner for the speakers that are hidden in the door.

The seat has been redone in leather!

The stock seat has been done in a great leather hyde that the owner sourced.
Real leather...not vinyl, and it has a great texture and look to it.
(and the smell!)

I really love the metal details added to the panels and around the Bus.
They add so much to the look.
Tables have all been redone and are fully functional

The custom light shades are a work of art on their own.

Wall cabinet is original Westfalia stuff.

Corner cabinet is not original, but made with a perfect vintage look to it.

Floors in the back have been cleaned and painted in grey...super clean.

Closet has all the hooks and such.

Just stunning interior

Wow!

That floor is amazing!!

More speakers hidden under the rear seat/bed... artfully drilled holes in the panel let the sound out.

Gorgeous

I have never seen a camper interior as cool as this one is...really...this just blows me away!

Cargo net in the back is another cool detail

Wow!!!

This is seriously professional finish stuff here!

Tires and wheels are all good, excellent tread, etc.

Bus is very very solid and untouched underneath

All original and unrestored under here, except for the mechanical bits that have been completely redone with every nut and bolt turned.

Front end is fully rebuilt and detailed, brakes, steering, suspension, engine, transmission....all fully rebuilt!

Hitch is strongly installed and it towns the trailer like it is not even there

Engine room is clean and solid

1776cc engine with dual carbs and 12 volt electrics.
Runs very strong and coupled with the freeway flyer geared transaxle, this is a Bus that
keeps up in the modern world just fine.

Very good runner and driver.

This is a one of a kind.
The patina is beautiful and so artfully replicated in the trailer and matched in the repairs.

Quite the vision and an amazing package with all of the props and accessories.

In the end, this is a truly special machine indeed.
Staring with a very solid and quite rare 1959 Westfalia, in Dove Blue (a rare color for sure on a camper)
the amazing interior that is a magical blend of original equipment and an artful restoration and vintage style customization.
The custom trailer, the performance engine and drivetrain...all of it...it almost seems too much to comprehend.
Ive shown the mother lode of photos and tried to describe it te best I can... but this must be seen to be fully appreciated.
It is a work of art,
