This Texas based 1965 Standard Microbus is a very sweet machine.
The restoration is a a few years old now but it still shows well.
The engine was rebuilt less than 400 miles ago and it is a delightful
driver with a mega happy look to it.
The two tone yellow and white just looks so fun and bright.
While not original, it sure fits the Bus well.
The fog lights and safari windows are great additions that personalize
it a bit.
Center mount antenna clears the safari windows nicely.
The wipers are held in place by the "one eyed duck" as original.
Empi bumper steps are another nice addition.
The chrome on the handles is original and shows a little age.
Window rubber and body seals all look to be in nice shape.
Pop out windows down the whole side for great ventilation.
Jack points look super solid and I like the stainless caps to finish
off the holes.
Outriggers look rock solid on this Bus...really a good body underneath
it all.
A small touch up on the drip rail, probably from a roof rack installed
at some point?
Corners look great.
The safety star on the bumper is another nice personal touch as ate the
jailbars in the rear window that were
originally only in deluxe models.
Stock height and the thin whitewalls look great.
Its just... happy!
Sighting down the sides it looks super straight and smooth
Looks like the doors all line up nicely and there is a good fit and
finish quality to it.

The star center lights up too!
Bumpers look very clean.

The interior is clean, there is some warpage to the door panels from
getting wet at some point.
The drink holders are cool
Dog legs look solid and clean.
Dash is excellent
Power point for charging your devices.
Coco mats look great!

Body tag is present on the overhead.
Additional switch mounted for the fog lights
Gear shift extension.
Very slight warp to the drivers front door panel as well.
Latches and hardware are nice and clean.

Steering wheel is wrapped with a nice leather cover.
Clean
Fuel gauge
A couple scratches on the edge of the parcel tray
Cool flashlight clipped to the steering column.
Odometer reads 92k miles.
Actual miles are undocumented, but the current engine was rebuilt about
400 miles ago.
Fresh air box
Seats look great
Matching seat belts too are a nice touch.
Rear area has the back bench only and is open space other than that.
Nice to see the trim panel under the seat and the luggage rail at the
top.
These are nomally Deluxe model details but they look great here in the
standard.
A center seat could be easily installed, but the wide open space is
very versatile.
Speakers in small enclosures at the front edge.
These are easily removed.
Nice details
Seat belts out back for your passengers
Rear luggage area looks nice
Hinge covers
A little glue or insulation peeking out here in the corner.
Headliner looks awesome
Really nice fit
Floors look rock solid and clean
Cargo area as well
Looks like maybe a little patch in back here?
Come fly with me!
Drivers side floor
Splash panel is nice underneath
Looks really solid along the bottom of the nose in these shots.
Floors look great!
Looks like a recent tie rod end on this side.
Tires look excellent.
Very dry under the engine
New shift coupler and boots
Less than 400 miles on this rebuilt 1600cc dual port engine!
Very clean in here too.
A file folder full of receipts, and some extra goodies come with it.
In closing this Bus looks like a very good one to me.
It is really solid, looks to be nicely done and it is just so freakin
happy looking I want to go
drive it down the road flinging flowers are people on the street
corners while wearing a tie dye shirt and some goofy sunglasses.
OK...maybe I went a little too far there...but seriously...what is not
to like about this one?
Doesnt it put a smile on your face?
