1967 VW Beetle Sedan For Sale

This Southern California based 1967 Beetle is a dreamy find.
Rock solid original California car with full documentation down to the original sales invoice
and the birth certificate from the Volkswagen factory in Wolfsburg Germany.

This is a beautifully restored car inside and out that has a show level
finish and a wonderful attention to detail and authenticity.

I'm not sure what the owner calls the car, but I'm going to name her Stella.

The original buyer of the car was Stella Beard of Sherman Oaks California who walked into
Jack McAfee Motors in nearby Burbank on Feb 4th 1967 and bought this lovely little Beetle.
The total out the door price was $1967.72 which she paid in cash.

The car has remained in the area its whole life and has been very well kept.

The current owner is the one that commissioned and oversaw the restoration
and it was closely guided i just the right direction to insure that the end result was as close to the
vision that Stella had in her eye when she signed on the dotted line and drove off the lot.

Correct black California plates with Feb 1967 tags

Very clean under the front hood and in the deep corners

Original German bumpers and taillight lenses

Original radio and glove box

All stock and correct exterior, proper wheel colors and caps.
Never modified or hot rodded in any way at all.

Beautifully restored and rebuilt engine with the correct air cleaner and engine tins.
12volt electrics were new for 1967. I see a couple small details that are technically incorrect for 67 production
such as the mechanical advance distributor and a replacement fuel pump and carburetor.
The engine runs excellent and the car drives very well.
This is a turn key, ready to drive and enjoy Beetle.

Nicely trimmed headliner, nice to see the correct grab handles and a functional dome light as well.

Window rubber , trim and all body seals are fresh and in excellent condition.

The speedometer was rebuilt and reset to zero at the time of the restoration.
Shown mileage of 1481 is what the car has been drive since.

Dash looks awesome, steering wheel and horn ring are excellent...everything is like new.

Truly a delightful example of what a 67 Beetle should be.
One of the most loved years for Beetle production.
so many have said that the 67 is the finest.

I love seeing the attention to detail with things like the pressure sticker on the windshield washer bottle
and the tire pressure sticker on the fuel tank.

Tool roll with tools, original owners manual, the original sales invoice and the
birth certificate from VW in Germany are all icing on the cake for this great car.

Interior is excellent!

Correct 67 only rear bumper and back up lights.
Note the slight curve down on the overrider tube on the inside of the guard...
this was only done on the 1967 models.

Excellent panel fit and smooth body and paint.

Very clean

Very nice quality carpets and rubber mat.
Controls and pedals have all been cleanly restored

The car has the optional passenger side mirror that you can see peeking out here on the right hand side of this image.
Fairly uncommon to see this as it is a hinge-pin mounted unit and is difficult to do for most owners.

The correct 1966 wide 5 slotted wheels remain on the car and are painted in the proper two tone fashion.
Nice quality radial tires have been fitted.  The hubcaps are the correct 66-67 flat caps.

The stance of the car is spot on perfect.
Just slightly nose high like a faithful dog ready for its walk!

The car underneath is rock solid and original.

Fender wells have been cleanly undercoated.

Everything appears to be in proper order underneath.

Seat frames are nicely detailed, beautiful high end square weave carpets,
seat upholstery is well fitted and seats are firm and smooth.

This is one of the first things I look at on a 67 Beetle...yes...it has the correct SB12 markings on the rings!

She's a beauty!

Nice to see fresh hinge caps and door check rod seals in place.
Even the correct 12 volt electrics decal in the jam.

Jack has been restored and looks great in its holder

That fat binder on the passenger seat is full of the records and papers on the car through its history.

In closing this is a very nicely restored, well documented original California 67.
Desirable year in one of the most prolific color combinations for the model.
She is ready for a new loving home!
