1958 VW Beetle Deluxe Sedan For Sale

SOLD!

This car is gorgeous.
It is located in Oregon in the hands of a seasoned collector.
It is very well restored, is super clean and well maintained
has been a prolific award winner at the shows and has been featured in Hot VWs Magazine!

Really sharp inside and out.
The current owner has owned it since 1988 when he bought it from the original owner's family.
He immediately started a full ground up, every nut and bolt restoration with no expense spared.

The car is done to very original stock specifications and has been driven
very sparingly over the past 24 years...only about 800 miles!
Stored in a clean dry safe garage, covered and kept safe.
The car still looks very fresh.

Such a beauty!

The car was featured in Hot VWs Magazine in June 1994

In July 1990 it Won the Forest Grove Concours D'Elegance  (first Volkswagen to ever win in the then 17 year history)
Returned to Forest Grove Concours D'Elegance in 1995 and it won again, with the owner's 1962 Beetle placing 2nd.
It has also won multiple V.W. & Classic car shows

It is a happy and very spoiled little Beetle!

In all areas it remains very clean and well sorted.

Squirrel's eye view of the taillight.

The carpet has been replaced as has the headliner, but the original seat upholstery and door cards are
here and fantastic. The original rubber matting is also here, hiding under a modern replacement.

Yes...these are the original seats!!!

Impressive condition here...really very nice.

When in storage moisture is controlled... this guy knows how to treat a car!

Wow!

Such a beautiful example!

Fluted Euro headlight lenses.
These actually appear to me to be VW Bus lenses...for Beetle the flutes would run vertical
but they sure look nice on here!

And they are genuine VW lenses.

Rubber seals and chrome are excellent.

Exhaust and underside of the engine are clean and dry.

Front end looks clean and not greasy
Nice to see the backside of the wheels cleanly painted.

The interior is just awesome.
The owner states that this is all the original material but some areas have been professionally recolored
to erase the age discoloration. It is amazing they still look so nice for being so old!

Nice level of detail wherever you look.

Correct original distributor

The engine is in excellent running condition...totally stock and correct.

Original speedometer with date markings

Backside of the dash looks very clean.

Front spare tire well is clean.
I do see some signs of a little minor hammer work here but just along the very bottom.
It all looks very solid.

Data plates are very clean

Super straight along the sides and very cleanly finished.

Original jack is in place.

Door seals look like new.

Original owners binder in the super clean glove box.

Nice!

OK...here is a flaw...a little aging going on on the headliner in the form of these discolored spots.

Just above the windshield on the passenger side there is a small tear in the cloth.
The owner sticks his registration card up here and it covers it very well at shows...but the damage is there.

These are the original door panels!!
The grey section has been recolored...but the material is original.
This vinyl has some texture to it and the original finish is often dirty and discolored with age
so this treatment looks fantastic in comparison and since the original texture material
is no longer available...this is a great way to go.

Rest of the headliner looks great...very well fit.

Luggage area carpet is clean and well fit.

Under the rear seat the car is very solid.
Still 6 volt electrics.

Seat frames are super clean.

VW logo threshold plates.
