1956 VW Beetle Sunroof Sedan For Sale

This CT based 1956 ragtop is a very nice car.
Restored from top to bottom with minor diversions from original
but retaining that classic look and style.

Euro style bumpers with the short guards
but it is a US spec car with the bullet turn signals.

Going for a bit of the rally look with chrome Porsche 356 style wheels and no hubcaps.

Paint color is beautiful and was sourced from a Subaru color chip.
Looks similar to era correct VW colors, but just slightly different.

Cooper radial tires on all four corners.

Very clean work throughout.
Factory sunroof car.

Clean under dash with a Bambus parcel tray and fuel reserve lever extension.

Yarn bound nylon carpets

Accessory passenger sun visor

Seats are done in a tweed and vinyl combo with nice fit.

Modern seat belts installed

All in excellent condition

Empi door sill trims.

Clean dash and correct clear needle speedometer

Very nice

Door panels are heat seamed vinyl in a newer design than 56,
but they look great and a nice color choice against the paint color.

Very clean and comfortable!

Nice paint and body on this car and all cklean chrome and new window rubbers and such.

Car has been well stored and cared for by a meticulous owner.

Car has a great look to it and would make a great basis for a new owner to accessorize
to their own style.  Continue on with the rally look...go to totally stock with wide whitewalls
or even go with custom wheels and a suspension drop...whatever your flavor, you can easily
personalize this car to your desire.

All the hard and expensive work has been done in the restoration.
Now its ready to drive and enjoy!

Nice canvas sunroof cover.

Love that color...so pretty

Nice reflections in that paint...looks like a quality job.

Hood fits well with a nice gap all the way around.

Window rubbers are the smooth "Cal Look" style without the aluminum trim

Correct 56 "snowflake" taillights

Deck lid fits nicely as well

1600cc dual port engine with 12 volt electrics runs excellent and keeps the Beetle
up to speed with modern traffic. Roughly 3000 miles since rebuild, it is truly ready to go.
Rebuilt full synchro 67 transmission from Transform with 3:88 ring and pinion.

Rear apron was replaced at some point as it lacks the "H" pattern stamping that
would normally be on a 56 model.  It looks like fenders may be replacements as well
but all fits and functions nicely, and only the picky purists could tell.

Sunroof open!
There is nothing quite like these big ragtops...great fun on a nice day.

Nicely finished under the engine lid, everything is quite clean.
Perhaps not a full concours level car but a really clean driver.

Chassis is very clean and solid

Dry and clean underneath

Rock solid chassis that has been well restored

Excellent

Fuel tank has been cleanly painted in gloss black

Looks very straight and solid in thne spare tire well area

Looking good

Sweet!

Restoration photos included!

Wiring looks decent. Modern radio in the dash brings along its cluster of wire to the party
but it all tucks away nicely behind the wiring cover.

Chassis number...it is the original body to the chassis according to the owner.

Door jams are clean

Battery area is clean

All nice and solid back here as well

Clean

Rear deck behind the seat has speakers for the modern audio

Radio is a nice "retro sound" unit with Volkswagen logo.

Dome light works, nice clean headliner.

She's a beauty really.

While there have been some mild diversions from original colors and parts,
the overall look still hits the mark for keeping it classic.

I like the stance, I like the build quality.
This looks like it would be a great car to truly drive and enjoy.

And to top it all off it has that awesome ragtop sunroof!
There is a lot to like with this one...I would be proud to have it in my garage!
