1959 VW Beetle Sedan For Sale

This wonderful little Beetle is located in Southern California and is ready for
a new hand off of the keys to its fourth owner...is that new owner you?

Its a very well kept and cared for car that is believed to have been in California its whole life
and looking at the condition of it, I have little reason to doubt it...it is wonderfully solid.

The car has received some restoration work over the years but remains extremely stock and proper
inside and out with a nice vibe of originality to it.

Shows very well and is a good runner and driver.
Its quest for a new home however is due to it not being driven quite enough...it really deserves
an active and enthusiastic new driver.

There is some great history behind it with some cool pics from its past.
The original owner to a young driver, that no-longer-young driver to new hands many years later..

And the most recent exchange in about 2008.
Hopefully the tradition can continue with you in the next pic!

A few more historic pics...as you can see in these shots at one point the taillights were
exchanged for the larger 62-67 units for improved visibility...but it has now been put back to original.

Interior had slip covers on it in these old pics.

Original body tag

No smoking!

Service decal in the door jam...still original paint under the hood and the interior of the car.

Still original door panels in the car!

This design of panel was short lived...I believe just 1958 and 1959?

Optima 6 volt battery

Matching spare

Looks like an original spare tire perhaps?
Jack is in its holder, hood latch looks impressively clean.

Original paint under the hood here which is nice to see.
New trunk liner board but that wiring cover looks like it might be an original

Some slight paint loss around the fuel filler but otherwise very impressive under the hood

Original four tab hood too by the way.

Dash looks awesome

Original glove box still fuzzy inside

Carpets and rubber mats have been replaced at some point

Nice original chrome

Excellent gaps on all body panels

Wow...so clean under the engine lid as well.

Stock 36hp engine is thought to be the original and the odometer shows mileage in the mid 50k range
Quite possibly original mileage?

December 58 date of the engine certainly vibes with a 1959 model year car.

Pretty dry underneath as well.
Note the Empi Camber Compensator fitted underneath

Original German exhaust on the car as well

Floor pans look quite solid and original

Original undercoating still holding strong!

Wolfsburg crest

Two tone wheels with nice radial tires

Window rubber and trims all look great.

Paint has a nice shine and the body is super smooth and straight.

Correct "peanut" turn signals

Nice Hella headlight glass and good chrome rings

A few minor stone chips if you look close, but no major damage.

Bumper looks awesome

Correct glass snowflake taillights are back on the car.

Rear bumper very nice as well

Headliner has been redone in the proper mohair material.
Original assist straps and coat hooks are in place.

I love these original panels...this design and colorway is not being reproduced in
the right textures...so finding a good set of original panels is a tough search!

Dash looks incredible

Great period Motorola radio

Odometer reads 51k miles

Headliner looks awesome!

Seats have been redone in a basic light grey.

Looks like the door pocket on the drivers side has been replaced
but the condition of the panel itself is surprising...the drivers side always gets the most use and wear.

Some wear on the original steering wheel which is somehow quite pleasing.
New seat belts installed

Looks like original paint on the "H" section of the apron and the respray
just done on the exposed exterior surfaces.

Great car really, super straight and sound...looks like it has always been well
kept and cared for over its whole life.

Capri blue by the looks of it...which would be correct for the model year
and obviously with the original interior paint, its the right color for this particular car.

Clean California title by the way with a current non operation certificate in place
so if the buyer is in California there should be no back fees or penalties due.

Car really does show well.

Such a sweetheart of a Beetle!

In closing this looks like a great car.
A long life of proper care and a nicely approached cosmetic refresh at some point.
Its the perfect bled of an original car without any major wear or unsightly patina.
While it is not a concours quality full restoration, it is obviously very presentable and will make
any new owner proud to polish its fenders and keep it nice.
