This Southern California based 63 Ragtop is a cute little bugger!
A very solid and straight example that is a delightful driver.
The car is clean and pretty and has a great vibe about it.
Just a happy little old Beetle that brings a lot of smiles on the road.
The car is very stock, never cut up or lowered...never a radio in the dash.
Glove box is still a bit fuzzy inside...
It shows a bit of wear in spots like the sunroof cover as you see here..
The paint is nice, but not exceptional.
I do like that I see a lot of original German parts used, like the taillight lenses..
The bumpers are original German units that have been rechromed.
Glass is all good,
The healdiner is original and is sun cooked under the rear window.
Seats look nice...seat covers are fresh.
Steering wheel looks nice and bright and clean...its a nice car.
The body is very straight.
The wheels have been recently powdercoated, hubcaps are new, tires look good.
A couple of small flaws here and there...but you need to look pretty close to see them...a couple of very small blisters in the paint on the passenger door.
I dont know why these photos came out so fuzzy...must have had some thing on the lens...
my apologies for that,...they really do not do the car justice.
I really like it...it is a good honest car, looks solid and right in the spots you want it to and
it runs and drives great.
Very straight body
The sunroof cover has aged...and the headliner is original and is a bit weak and worn as well.
I think if you did a sunroof cover and headliner in this car it would
be pretty much "done". The rest of it looks great.
Trim is nice, handles look good.
A few pits in the chrome on the vent wing frames.
Under the hood looks good.
Wirigina is very clean
New spare tire on a matching white wheel.
Body tag
Looks pretty straight and reasonably clean in here.
Very solid car in the fender wells and underneath.
Original floorpans look very solid!!
Engine is wonderfully dry underneath.
40 horse engine runs like a top!
Still 6 volt electrics, all very stock.
Carburator, fuel pump and distributor are newer replacements.
I like seeing all the hoses and seals in place the way they should be.
There are so many cars out there that are not put together right...it is refreshing to see this.
Front of the car looks very good.
Not all chipped up from stones or anything...hood fits very nice, bumper too.
There is really nothing like driving a ragtop Beetle on a nice sunny day...

Floormats look great, carpet too.
Latches are clean
You can see that the headliner is coming apart a bit at the front.
Its not horrible...the headliner...but with the rest of the car being as clean as it is,
it really is the weakest part of the car cosmetically.
The seller has it priced at a fantastic price, so putting in a little extra with a new headliner and sunroof cover
still keeps it well in check budget wise. This car is a good deal.
Seats are done and look great.
Dash and wheel are very nice.
Original door panels in impressive shape.
The wheels have just been powder coated and look great.
If the car were mine, I would spray the centers of the wheels in black as they would be originally.
It is a minor detail but it would go a long way in making the car look totally stock and correct.
Clean title and current registration.
It is nice.
In closing this really is a sweet little car.
It has some small areas that you can improve on when you feel the urge, but just as it is it has a very clean look
and it is a good runner and driver. I think most importantly, what is under the shiny parts looks to be a very very solid, straight, honest car.
It is not something put together from a rusty wreck like so many out there these days. This is a "good one".
