1968 VW Deluxe Microbus For Sale
This Southern California based 1968 Deluxe Bus is gorgeous.
The owner has put a ton of time and money into the restoration of this one to make it a really cherry machine
that not only looks fantastic, but runs fantastic.
Always a California Bus since new, the body remains very solid and straight
and the nice quality paint job on it shows very well.
The interior is all redone as well and looks wonderful.
Front seatcovers are by Wet Okole and are made of wet suit material which is ideal for hopping in after
a slash in the waves.
Always keps garaged and well mantained.
The bamboo parcel trays are great, modern stereo, a few added instruments to monitor the action out back.
All of it tastefully done and very clean.
Underneath it looks fantastically solid

Interior has been fully redone to original specs.
The owner has a hand fashioned wood surfboard rack for his longboard in place inside,
but this of course could be removed if you are not the surfing type.
Steering wheel has a leather cover andtight wrapped spokes with natural twine for a little island touch.
There is a tachometer installed in the dash which is very nice to have.
The shifter extension is also a nice add on that keeps the drive a bit more comfortable
Door panels look great.
On the body there is one spot just behind the sliding door that has had a little paint touch up...but the rest look fantastic.

Body is oh so smooth down the sides!
That headliner is gorgeous too!
Here you can see the surfboard rack...simple but very effective.
I love the black plates and the Chick Iverson plate frame.
The surf stickers are a nice touch as well.

The floors are very solid and have a nice dynamat style sound insulation that keeps the drive a bit more quiet.
Underneath the Wet Okole seat covers is the stock black vinyl that matches the rear seats.
Seats are excellent
All new chrome and rubber...everything was done on this Bus.
It is in the hands of it's second owner since new!
The mechanicals have all been gone through on this one as well with a rebuilt engine, transmission, brakes, steering...the whole lot of it!
I love the chrome wheels and the color matched centers on the hubcaps...really a nice looking ride.
The engine is a super strong runner...hopped up mildly with dual carbs
and mechanical advance distributor, alternator, etc. 1914cc and the transmission was built with freeway gearing
so it can keep up with modern traffic very well.
Minimal miles since the rebuild and it is a fantastic driver.
